Brixton is one of many London areas that has been reborn over the last couple of decades. In the 1970’s it was a place not to wonder into by accident after nightfall, today it’s a thriving, stylish, trendy, desirable, fun, fascinating cultural explosion and, at the heart of it, is Brixton Village Market.
The market on Station Road comprises of food markets, flea market, farmers market, baker’s markets, retro and vintage market and is an amazing place to shop, chat, eat and drink.
There is a strong emphasis on supporting local entrepreneurs.
The Brixton Market Federation is run by former market stall traders there and they have ensured a thriving, buzzing and exciting place to work and visit.
The Brixton Markets Heritage Walk is run by the Brixton Society and take place on the second Saturday of each month at 2.30pm. Details can be obtained from the Brixton Society stall at the Makers Market.
